About Andesmar

Andesmar is an intercity transportation company with more than 52 years of experience in the industry. Founded by Guido Badaloni, with an italian origin, who reached Argentina in the middle of 1920, specifically to the city of Mendoza, where he finally settled down.

Its entrepreneurial vision led him to create a passengers transportation business that would become a pioneer in the region. Previously, he decided to get involved in the business of transporting vegetables in the zone; experience that four years later took him to acquire the bus company “El Fifi” and with which he began to offer services to transport passengers.

After a partnership with Cayetano Caruso, he created the company Badaloni-Caruso, with whom he acquired the bus company Expreso Campo Los Andes (ECLA). From there, he began to firmly forge a transportation service that got consolidated with the creation of Autotransporte Andesmar, in 1967.

In its beginnings, the company offered services between Mendoza and Bahía Blanca in the province of Buenos Aires, connecting travelers with Argentina from the Atlantic ocean to the andean mountains. Five years later, after the dissolution of the Badaloni-Caruso society, Mr. Guido’s sons became the owners of Andesmar, continuing the expansion process. Currently the company is being managed by the third generation of the family.

Nowadays, Andesmar has services in different zones of both Argentina and Chile, travelling more than 45 thousand kilometers a year and moving more than one million eight hundred thousand passengers. It has last generation new buses, with advanced technology, to offer its passengers the most comfortable journey and to also guarantee its safety. Buses Andesmar offers three types of services:

  • Executive: Reclining leather seats up to 140º, with footrests. They have chemical baths, personalized onboard services with hostesses and hosts; DVDs with flat screens. This services includes dinner on board.

  • Semi cama: Reclining leather seats up to 140º, with footrests. They have chemical baths, onboard services and interactive screens with music and videos.

  • First class suite: Large reclining seats up to 180º, with a curtain that divides the spaces between each seat. It has personalized attention with hostesses and hosts, DVDs with flat screens, reading materials in case is desired and chemical baths.

One of the main concerns of Andesmar is the care and maintenance of its fleet, which is why they have service stations strategically located in different zones in Argentina, to carry out inspections with advanced technology both in the departure location and in the destination. Its service stations are located specifically in cities like Avellaneda, Bahía Blanca, Caleta Olivia, Córdoba, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Neuquén, Pocitos, Rawson, Río Gallegos, Rosario, San Rafael, San Salvador de Jujuy and Tucumán; and they maintain constant communication with its main office and agencies in the country.

Its staff is highly trained to guarantee its users the best care before, during and after their trip. Each unit has two drivers who maintain a system of relays and an onboard assistant that watches over the travelers’ care and attention.

As a form of retribution to society and because of a family motivation to promote sustainable measures to strengthen social development in Argentina, in 2007 it’s built the Guido Badaloni Foundation, which has four pillars: Education, integration, health and sustainability; and it is mainly dedicated to the internal community of Andesmar group, which also includes Tramat,  El Rápido Internacional, Andesmar Industrial and Andesmar Cargas.

Andesmar is one of the companies that offers more destinations within its services, since it was one of the first companies doing long route transportation, giving the possibility to travel to each one of the 23 provinces in Argentina. Among the more popular localities are Ciudad de Córdoba, Bahía Blanca, Avellaneda, Mar del Plata, Tres Arroyos, San Salvador, Resistencia, Malargüe, Tunuyán, Tandil, Azul;  and in the Argentinian Patagonia: Comodoro Rivadavia, Puerto San Julián, El Bolsón, Santa Cruz, Bariloche and others.
