CATA Internacional is an intercity bus company that sells tickets between cities in Argentina, Chile and Peru.

This Argentine company emerged under the name of Compañía Argentina de Transporte Automóvil in 1933 and it was created by Don Juan Ramoni. In the beginning, the company offered tickets between Mendoza, Santiago de Chile and Valparaíso, then in 1937 they decided to expand their services by incorporating the route from San Juan to Santiago.

During the 1950s, the company did several changes, including its name, now the company started to be called Cooperativa Andina de Transporte Automotor, it was not until the 2000s when the company acquired its current name, Cata Internacional.

The Cata Internacional Bus fleet has more than 85 modern buses that offer entertainment services on board, with individual screens as well as music with individual headphones and digital sound.

In addition to passenger transport service, it makes special trips for groups or institutions interested in exclusive services and has a parcel service.

Currently the company offers trips to Mendoza, San Juan, San Luis, Rosario, Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Neuquén and Bariloche in Argentina, Tacna and Lima in Peru, as well as the Chilean cities of Talca, Los Andes, La Serena, Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and Santiago.

It has a staff of more than 600 employees, with quality facilities for the care, maintenance and protection of its buses, it has more than 200 points of sale between the three countries where it develops services. Its central office in Santiago is located in the Sur Terminal, from where its buses leave.
