ABOUT La Serena

La Serena is the capital of the Coquimbo Region and is the second oldest city in the country. Damas island tour

This island is part of the Humboldt Penguin Reserve and is a sight to behold due to its white sand and crystal clear water, and when visiting it you will see a parade of animal species such as the Humboldt penguin, sea lions, dolphins and cachalots.

Jardín del Corazón

This beautiful park is located in the heart of La Serena, when visiting it you will be invaded by an aura of calm and tranquility.

It is an ideal place to share with family or friends, its construction, inspired by the Japanese style, is a true delight for the eyes, you can also see and interact with the animals that inhabit the park such as ducks, turtles and koi fish.

El Faro Beach, is a must-see destination in La Serena, this beach is extremely quiet and during the first half of the day it is practically empty, it is ideal for jogging, walking with your pet or simply sitting on the sand while reading a book, enjoying from the sun and the coastal aroma, but you need to know that it is not enabled for swimming.

Around this beach you will find various restaurants where you can enjoy typical coastal food, a cuisine rich in fish and seafood.

When visiting El Faro Beach, do not forget to visit the Monumental Lighthouse, this lighthouse built in 1950 is one of the most representative places in La Serena, because of  that in 2010 it was declared a National Monument, you cannot leave this city without the typical photo in this Chilean classic.
