Among the tourist destinations, the San Francisco Church stands out, it was founded by the Jesuits in 1744 near the Plaza de Armas. Due to its history and particular architectural style, it was declared a National Monument in 1984. The fountain in the Plaza de Armas was built in Paris at the end of of the 19th century and was brought to be installed in Concepción, however, when it was transported by rail and arrived at the San Fernando terminal station, the Mayor of Colchagua insisted that it would be left in San Fernando, in such a way that the fountain was obtained by simple coincidence.
Hacienda Los Lingues, is a tourist complex that is located outside of San Fernando, the site is striking for its extensive manor houses of more than five thousand square meters, and for preserving jewelry, silverware, glassware , game tables and lamps. Many of the objects belonged to important illustrious people of the colonial and independence history of Chile. However, the most valuable object is in the Chapel of the Treasury, it is the Florentine Christ, a sculpture made in ivory during the sixteenth century that belonged to Pope Pius IX.
