Angol is the capital of Malleco Province, in the Araucanía Region, located at the foot of the Nahuelbuta mountain range and crossed by the Vergara river.

It is said that Angol has been built and rebuilt seven times, because due to its geographical position there were many incursions that passed through Angol, as well as the resistance to the conquest. However, the growth of the city can be traced back to 1876, when the railway from Santiago arrived in Angol. Angol is located 142 km from Temuco and 569 km from Santiago, and you can reach this city through the Panamerican highway number 5.
