As part of Greater Buenos Aires is the city of Avellaneda, it is characterized by football teams: Racing Club and Club Atlético Independiente; both have their respective social headquarters, schools, and states within the city.
At the beginning of its history it was known as Barracas al Sud but on October 10, 1852, the Provincial Government issues a decree that considers the incredible urban disorder of the moment, respecting the existing constructions and ordering the new ones to adjust to the new layout. On October 23, 1895, the town is declared a city.
Thirteen years later, on March 25, 1903, Racing Club was founded by one of the teams represented in the city, the other Independent Athletic Club founded on January 1, 1905.
On November 28, 1973, Avellaneda becomes one of the three cities in the world, next to Milan and Montevideo, in the hostel of the world champion clubs, after obtaining the 1973 Intercontinental Cup by Independiente, and the 1967 Intercontinental Cup by Racing.
Avellaneda is an Argentine city, head of the homonymous party of the province of Buenos Aires and is in the south zone of the urbanism.
