Only 18 kilometers is the distance between the city of Arica and its neighbour Peru, so the cross border activity generates a great influx in both the bus terminals of Arica, located one in front of the other in the Diego Portales avenue.
The national bus terminal of Arica has daily departures to destinations like Santiago, Iquique, Valparaíso, Antofagasta and other cities in Chile. On the other hand, the international bus terminal of Arica connects Chile with Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.
